A Love Story Turned Mission
"Our story began in New York and quickly became something far greater than either of us ever expected."

Just three months into our relationship, Ron was diagnosed with Stage IV colorectal cancer at 37 years old. What followed was not a pause on life, but a decision to keep living it fully, through surgeries, chemotherapy, uncertainty, travel, work, love, and ultimately, engagement.

Ron & Trevor

As we began planning our wedding, we realized we wanted this celebration to become part of something larger than ourselves.

We are first asking our family and friends — and eventually the broader community — to support the launch of The Colorectal Foundation, an organization dedicated to advancing awareness, advocacy, and support for young-onset colorectal cancer patients navigating life during and after diagnosis.

This foundation is deeply personal to us. It was built from lived experience and from the belief that no one should have to face cancer without guidance, community, or hope.

— Ron & Trevor
The Foundation

Built from lived experience.

The Colorectal Foundation was inspired by Ron and Trevor's experience navigating young-onset colorectal cancer together.

After Ron's diagnosis in 2023, they quickly realized how overwhelming and isolating the process can be, especially for younger patients balancing careers, relationships, identity, and the realities of long-term treatment.

Despite ongoing treatment, they chose not to put life on hold. They continued building a future together, ultimately getting engaged and planning their wedding while navigating cancer in real time.

The foundation was created to help others do the same: access better information, find support earlier, and feel empowered to continue living fully despite diagnosis.

As they celebrate their marriage, Ron and Trevor hope this next chapter can also help create hope and support for others facing colorectal cancer.

Our Mission
